We should be there … Last … Maybe lol
With this release have adjusted many bugs that still plague this version, but the product seems mature for her fallen on the field.
I am not here to bother with the changelog, but know that it is a lot longer than the previous …
The packages were loaded on TuxFamily and corrected (after my mistake) while I have space issues on Launchpad, so there are only packages for karmic.
Good game XD

typo in the sources
deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/itwesnoth/debian/ binary/ #wesnoth binary stable/unstable
between debian/binary NO blank!
In what sense?
@LAZA
Thanks for the hint. I don’t think it’s correct, though. First, I think we’re NOT supposed to remove the blank between “debian/” and “binary/”. If I remove the blank, I do get some files downloaded, but I’m get this:
“Failed to fetch http://download.tuxfamily.org/itwesnoth/debian/binary/dists/wesnoth/binary/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://download.tuxfamily.org/itwesnoth/debian/binary/dists/wesnoth/stable/unstable/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.”
It works fine with the blank there.
Also, just for everyone’s information, the format of this page makes it break the line. This should be only a single line (starting with “deb” and ending with “stable/unstable”).
@V4LD4N
I don’t understand your question
I think you have copied the wrong address …
fact is …itwesnoth/debian/ binary/
and not …itwesnoth/debian/ binary
This “/” must be made immediately after the written debian.
@ Das42
Sorry, I read your comment just now
Thanks for the answers!
And a lot of thanks for the work!!!
Have a nice and snowy weekend
On my install of Ubuntu Karmic, the sound and music do not work.
To be more accurate, the interface “click” noise works, but all other sounds and music just come out as a crackle. I can play the .ogg files fine with totem.
Try uninstalling the package wesnoth-unstable-music.
Then download it again and install it.
Probably it was corrupted during download.
Hi,
Thanks for replying, but that can’t be what is wrong because:
1) Sound effects as well as music do not play correct.
2) The .ogg files play fine from outside of wesnoth (from in VLC, Totem, etc).
3) The stable wesnoth played sounds fine before I uninstalled it.
4) Because you can check the md5sums yourself to see (dpkg -L wesnoth-unstable-music | xargs md5sum 2>/dev/null): Result is here: http://pastebin.ca/1821592
Or more conveniently for you, I installed the debsums package to show you the output:
http://pastebin.ca/1821600
And here it is checking all the unstable packages:
$ dpkg-query ‘–showformat=${Package}\n’ -W ‘wesnoth-unstable*’ | xargs debsums -s
This returns no output, which means all MD5SUMS match for all of these packages:

Hi, changing my system to use pulseaudio fixed the problem, so I don’t think it was anything to do with your packages. Thank you for making them available to us!
I’m glad you solved and that was not my fault XD
